National Council Member (2025–2028 Term)


The Professional Alliance of Indian Radiographers (PAIR), a special interest group under the
Society of Radiographers (SoR), invites radiographers of Indian origin to apply for the position of National Council Member for the 2025–2028 term. 

As a PAIR National Council Member, you will play a vital role in advancing professional collaboration, representation, and initiatives that support Indian radiographers across the UK. This is a volunteer-based leadership role, requiring a commitment of approximately 3–4 hours quarterly for virtual activities, and participation in an annual in-person meeting.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be:

  • A radiographer of Indian origin

  • HCPC-registered, and currently working in the UK

  • A strong and dynamic individual passionate about professional development, supporting colleagues, and demonstrating leadership qualities (Please provide supporting information in your covering letter)

  • A registered delegate of the International Radiographers Conference (IRC2025) (If unable to attend, a valid reason must be included in the covering letter)

🌍 Regional Representation

Council Member representation will follow a regional structure, with three members selected from each UK region:

  1. East of England

  2. London

  3. East Midlands

  4. West Midlands

  5. North East

  6. North West

  7. South East

  8. South West

  9. Yorkshire and the Humber

  10. Wales

  11. Scotland

  12. Northern Ireland

  • A statement detailing your interest in joining the PAIR National Council, including relevant leadership experience and alignment with the eligibility criteria

  • Announcement of Selected Members: During the IRC2025 meeting

  • Note: The current PAIR Council will be dissolved following the appointment of the new members.
