Professional Alliance of Indian Radiographers, UK, Celebrates World Radiography Day with Engaging Quiz and Educational Lecture Series.

London, UK – November 8, 2025 – The Professional Alliance of Indian Radiographers (PAIR), UK, a dynamic special interest group under the Society of Radiographers (SoR), proudly marked World Radiography Day on November 8th, 2025, with a day of knowledge, camaraderie, and professional development. The celebration featured an engaging and fun-filled quiz competition and the continuation of the insightful PAIR-RadX lecture series.

The highlight of the festivities was a highly competitive quiz that tested the knowledge of radiographers from across the UK. After a thrilling contest, Sreenath Sreekumar, Senior MRI Radiographer at Hull University, emerged as the champion, securing the 1st prize. Jibin Roy, MRI/CT Radiographer at Kettering General Hospital NHS Trust, was awarded the 2nd prize, followed by Vishnu Sajeev from London Independent Hospital Circle Health Group, who claimed the 3rd prize. Mr. Noyal Mathew, Director of Professional Development and Education at PAIR, skillfully led the competition, ensuring an exciting and fair challenge for all participants.



In conjunction with the World Radiography Day celebrations, PAIR hosted the second session of its acclaimed PAIR-RadX Series. This online lecture program is dedicated to fostering continuous learning and professional growth within the radiography community.

PAIR-RadX Series: Session Two – CT Image Quality and Dose Optimisation — A UK DRL Focus The session, held from 20:30–21:30 GMT, delved into the crucial topic of balancing CT image quality with dose optimisation, with a specific focus on UK Diagnostic Reference Levels (DRLs). This vital discussion aimed to equip radiographers with a deeper understanding of dose management and quality assurance in their clinical practice.

The distinguished speaker for the session was Mr. Biju Sivanandan Sarala, Senior Radiographer at Inhealth CT Mobiles. Mr. Biju shared his invaluable practical insights into CT operations and quality control, drawing from his extensive work across various NHS sites.

The session was expertly hosted by Mr. Partha Jyoti Das, Senior Radiographer at Cleveland Clinic London and Deputy Director of Professional Development and Education, PAIR.
