Speakers and Topic

Kathryn Williamson
Professional Officer Education and Accreditation, College of
Radiographers
Kathryn is a
diagnostic radiographer with over 15 years clinical experience, having worked
for both the private sector and NHS. Her clinical specialism was mammography
practice, with a particular interest in health promotion, having established
the Northern Health and Social Care Trust’s programme of work in this area. In
2017, she joined Ulster University as a lecturer on the undergraduate
Diagnostic Radiography degree programme, contributing also to the postgraduate
AHP practice education programme at Ulster. Having a passion for
education, Kathryn holds a PGCHEP, a Masters in Higher Education Practice with
distinction, and Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy. She joined the
College of Radiographers (CoR) in July 2021 as Professional Officer for
Education and Accreditation, leading on the final drafting of the 4th edition
of the Education and Career Framework for the radiography workforce (ECF) and
revision of the CoR Assistant Practitioner, Mammography Associate, and Practice
Educator Accreditation Schemes.

2. Noyal Mathew
North Central London MRI Practice Educator
Noyal is a
Diagnostic radiographer with over 10 years of clinical experience, having
worked in the UK and also internationally. He holds a Master's Degree in
Medical Imaging technology, and a PGC in Clinical Simulation and has worked in
various capacities such as a Radiographer, an Applications Specialist
& Demonstration expert for various hospitals/MedTech companies. Here in the
UK, he has worked in both the private sector and the NHS. His areas of
expertise are MRI and CT technology, patient-focused care,
training, and development and professional consultation. Not only is Noyal
an ardent speaker at various domestic/international medical
conferences and virtual events, but also a very passionate advocate of
safety in MRI who has won accolades for his work on simulation training in
handling Deteriorating Patients in Radiology, at the HSJ Safety Awards, 2024.
He is currently working as an MRI Practice Educator for the North Central
London Imaging Academy based at UCLH and is also the Director of Professional Development
& Education for the Professional Alliance of Indian
Radiographers (PAIR) SIG.
